- You have the right to choose the repair shop of your choice. (Some insurance policies ask you to sign a "special release" forcing you to take your vehicle to the shop of their choice, check carefully!)
- You are always entitled to having your vehicle repaired to its pre-accident condition, as to function, appearance, safety, and value.
- By law you are obligated to get only one estimate.
- Choose a shop carefully, make sure they have the proper repair equipment and that their staff technicians are certified (I-CAR and ASE)
- Request a written warranty. This warranty should include labor, materials, parts and paint. Do not accept anything less than three to five years.
